WEST POINT, Miss. -- They have seen Blackwolf Run and can say this about Old Waverly Golf Club: It's no Blackwolf Run.

The US Women's Open gets under way today at Old Waverly, and while it is tucked into a part of the country that few of them are familiar with, the competitors are more than happy to be here. Which is another way of saying they are glad they're not back at Kohler, Wis. Nothing personal, mind you, but Blackwolf Run simply beat them up.
