Over the years, when talk turned to the possibility of replacing Fenway Park, I was dead set against the idea; indeed, in my mind's eye I imagined myself organizing protests, writing columns, joining a picket line, if need be, to save the old Fenway. Yet to my surprise, I find myself an enthusiastic supporter of the plans the Red Sox have unveiled for a new ballpark.
