"Our Town" is the kind of theatrical experience that can resonate
in the heart and mind long after the curtain goes down. Though
Thornton Wilder wrote his Pulitzer Prize-winning play more than 60
years ago, its portrait of life in a small, turn-of-the-century New
Hampshire town is a tapestry woven of universal truths and doubts.
Ultimately, it is both an ode to the simple life and a mandate to
find meaning and pleasure in the moment.
Wheelock Family Theatre's revival, produced and directed by Susan
Kosoff, tries to capture the spirit of the original production, with
streamlined sets (by Anthony Hancock) and simplified production
