Glen Burnie, trying very hard during the past two seasons to
establish itself among the top football programs in Anne Arundel
County, took another step in that direction tonight as Bobby Beale
rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns in a surprising 18-0 victory
over Annapolis in an Anne Arundel 4A league game at Al Laramore
Field.
Galvanized by Beale's tough inside running and dominant line play,
Glen Burnie (4-1, 1-1) came away with its second straight win in two
seasons against traditionally strong Annapolis, which had its three-
game winning streak ended.
It was Glen Burnie's first shutout victory over Annapolis since
