Early in her freshman year at Bowie High, Eli Mould sought out her volleyball coach for advice. Fatigued from spending a month on both the varsity volleyball and soccer teams, Mould needed someone who understood how much she enjoyed both sports -- and who would understand that she could only play one.

This person was her mother, who said Mould had more of a future in volleyball.

Of course, this may not have been the most objective opinion because Nancy Mould has been Bowie's volleyball coach since 1990.
