CLEVELAND -- First they rushed to Tim Crews's house, near where
the hideous dockside accident had occurred. Then they raced to the
hospital, to the room where Crews lay dying. They visited the room
where Bobby Ojeda was clinging to life. They did not need to stop at
the morgue; Steve Olin was already in there, dead.
Finally, they wandered through the central Florida night, driving
and talking, driving and talking, general manager John Hart and
manager Mike Hargrove. Trying to absorb the devastating toll of the
boat crash that had killed two Cleveland Indians pitchers and
