The Omnicom Group, a New York communications firm that owns
several ad agencies and marketing firms, has added another Boston-
area public relations shop to its stable.
Yesterday, Fleishman-Hillard, a St. Louis PR firm owned by
Omnicom, said it has acquired Lois Paul & Partners, a Burlington
outfit that specializes in providing PR services to high-tech
companies such as Lotus Development, Nortel Networks, and Open Market
Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Retaining its name and autonomy, Lois Paul will become part of a
new group within the Omnicom empire called Technology Consulting
Worldwide.
