A name only dimly familiar to most Americans from their high
school history lessons is coming on strong as a major player in
international real estate.
Lend Lease, in this instance, is not the US program for supplying
the Allies during World War II but a 42-year-old Australianreal
estate company on a global expansion tear.
After entering US markets seven years ago, it operated initially
under a different name and did not make big waves. But it has
exploded in size in the past six months through a series of major
acquisitions. The change is particularly evident in Boston, where it
has landed with both feet.
