FOXBOROUGH - J.R. Redmond is finding out firsthand the difference
between fans in the West and fans in the Northeast.
Adored, almost revered in the West, Redmond already has been
called slow, unexciting, and perhaps a waste of a third-round pick
here. There's been a steadfast refusal by some Patriots observers to
factor in a 10-day holdout and a groin injury that required surgery
and perhaps is still not 100 percent healed.
It seems Redmond must prove himself quickly. It's not about what
they thought of you out there, it's what we think of you here.
