Article: TRAPELO ROAD PROJECT ISSUED BUILDING PERMIT COUNCIL'S OPPOSITION MAY NOT STOP DEVELOPERS

The city's inspection department has issued a building permit that will allow the controversial 1560 Trapelo Road office project to go forward, despite the protests of residents and the City Council.

And while neighbors of the project claimed a victory Monday night, after the council voted 10-3 to deny an extension of the project's one-year special permit, it's unclear whether the developer will be hindered as expected.

Residents said they hoped such a vote would force the developer to reapply for the special permit, which was set to expire yesterday and therefore be subject to a public hearing. Instead, Cornerstone Corp. and the 1560 Trapelo Road Realty Trust succeeded in getting a building ...
