The firsttime we see Tony Soprano in the third season of "The
Sopranos," he's fetching the newspaper from his driveway in his terry-
cloth robe. Loyal viewers will recall that, in last season's first
episode, Tony took the same morning walk, where he was greeted by the
biggest threat to his freedom, Pussy Bompensiero, who now swims with
the fishes. This year, a different foe lies in wait just outside the
Soprano neo-manse: The feds, armed with their nifty surveillance
gadgetry.It's a typically rich moment for this extraordinary HBO
series, which returns in excellent form on Sunday at 9 with back-to-
