HUDSON - Hudson Catholic girls' basketball coach Larry Giles says
it feels like David vs. Goliath in the Colonial Athletic League. But
the Green Wave's opposition is beginning to wonder who's David and
who's Goliath.
The Green Wave made the jump from the Catholic Suburban League
this winter and, despite being a school that has just 92 girls in
grades 9-12, has taken the larger CAL schools by storm. The Green
Wave are 9-6 overall and 8-1 in the league, having defeated each team
at least once.
"Monty Tech has 465 girls, Worcester Voke has 405, and Bay Path
has 388," Giles said. "We have 92 and to get a turnout of 30 tells me
we're doing something right."
