Abigail P. Johnson, heir to the Fidelity Investments fortune, is
stepping up to take her highest-profile job yet with the financial
giant, as president of the nation's largest mutual fund group.
On June 15, Johnson, 39, will succeed Robert C. Pozen, who has run
the fund group, FMR Co., since 1997. Before that, he was general
counsel to the parent company.
Pozen, 54, will stay aboard until year-end and then plans to teach
and devote time to his new post on President Bush's Social Security
reform panel.
The shift is significant at the $907 billion firm. It marks the
departure of a 14-year Fidelity veteran who's part of chairman Edward
"Ned" C. Johnson 3d's inner circle, and makes way for the ...
