Article: GOLF COURSE ON FAST TRACK OFFICIALS WANT OUTSIDE STUDY OF FEASIBILITY DONE QUICKLY

A feasibility study is the next step, Norfolk town officials say, in bringing an 18-hole, $10.7 million golf course to fruition. Currently, the town is requesting proposals for that study.

The deadline for those proposals is tomorrow.

According to town administrator Robert Markel, the Norfolk Golf Committee will evaluate the submissions and make a recommendation to the Board of Selectmen by next Friday.

The feasibility study will examine economic and market trends and should be completed within several weeks. The Golf Committee will then compare that study's findings to its own before making any further recommendations to selectmen.
