Article: S. Korea Puts Chun Doo Hwan On Life Support

Former president Chun Doo Hwan was put on a life-support system today after a 25-day hunger strike.

"His condition abruptly deteriorated early today and there was a danger of him slipping into a coma," said Kim Kwon Jun, a doctor at the National Police Hospital, where Chun was transferred from jail on Dec. 20 after becoming too weak to drink water.
