After months of debate and study, Norfolk officials will decide in
less than two weeks whether it's tee time for one of the town's
largest projects in recent years.
About 25 residents gathered last Thursday for a presentation of
the feasibility study for the proposed public golf course, which
paints a difficult financial picture. After the presentation,
selectmen took comments and questions from the audience in
preparation for a vote Dec. 18. The three-member board will decide if
and how to move forward into what promises to be a challenging
development process.
Although environmental issues remained a prevalent concern,
dollars and cents were at the fore much of the evening.
