When a new, bigger and faster mega-version of Monopoly was
created, seven states were added to the game. Luckily for Tim
Parachojuk, Massachusetts was included.
Parachojuk, 24, of Beverly, recently represented his home state at
the Monopoly: Mega Edition 2007 National Championships in Atlantic
City, which brought together one player from each of the new states
to compete.
And Parachojuk emerged the national winner.
"I'm so surprised to have won the championship with so many other
skilled players in contention," he said. "I have been playing
Monopoly since I was a young child, but I never thought I'd be
crowned as the tournament winner. I'm excited."
