NASHUA -- Supporters of independent Ross Perot say they have collected 10,000 voter signatures to secure the Texas billionaire a spot on the November presidential ballot in New Hampshire -- thousands more than they needed by law to make Perot an official candidate here.

"I think their goal is to be in the Guinness book of records," said Nashua City Clerk Eleanor Benson, whose office last week was verifying more than 1,000 nomination papers collected by the Perot ranks in that city.
