With his bright smile and strawberry blond hair that gets
rosier on television, Jim Schoenfeld looks squarely into the camera
and tells the people of western New York what he thinks is
important.
"It's certainly not a milestone in life, but buying a mattress
is a big deal," Schoenfeld says in a commercial for City Mattress.
With Schoenfeld reclined on a bed in a polka dot bathrobe worn over
a pair of jammies delivering his pitch, some might easily think that
a new mattress was just behind family and career on the list of
life's priorities.
On Jan. 27, Schoenfeld was hired as the Washington Capitals'
