WARSAW -- Jonathan Mills, a Boston businessman living in Warsaw,
likes to tell this joke:
A Frenchman and a Russian each get on a plane. The Frenchman is
flying from Paris to Moscow. The Russian is flying from Moscow to
Paris. A mix-up lands both planes in Warsaw.
Each man thinks he has arrived at his destination.
For Americans doing business in Poland these days -- not to
mention Poles who live here -- Warsaw is a matter of perspective.
As the long Polish winter settled in last week, with its heavy
grey skies, cold drizzling rain and acrid smell of smoke and
