To talk about the powers of instinct in the Age of Reason is a
little like turning touchy-feely in the middle of a boxing match.
But Kathy Kolbe doesn't head into this pursuit naive about
who's going to throw what punches. When she describes how her ideas
could affect people's personal and career decisions as
"revolutionary," she knows she's going out on a limb. Unabashedly
stating that her theories are "the high-tech human resource
approach" of the future, she's fully aware that she's pushing the
envelope of corporate belief. She knows that in challenging
thinking-as-usual, the proof ultimately is in the putting - as in
putting up or shutting up.
