Huawei Technologies aims to become the third largest telecom
equipment supplier in Russia in two to three years, said a senior
company official.
The Shenzhen-based telecom equipment maker, which has established
a joint venture in Russia, ranks among Russia's five largest telecom
equipment suppliers at present, said Wang Kexiang, vice-president of
the firm's Common Independent States region.
Huawei's sales in Russia reached US$110 million last year and have
already topped that amount in the first half of this year, company
statistics show.
