Article: Fishing tools developing

WEIHAI: The manufacturing of fishing tools has become a sustainable industry in Weihai, said the vice-mayor of the coastal city in East China's Shandong Province.

About 70 per cent of Chinese fishing tools and half of the country's total exports of the products are produced in the city.

Vice-Mayor Dong Jinyou said: "The city is expected to become an international fishing-tool production centre in the coming five years."
