BEIJING
CSRC improves efficiency
The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) announced
yesterday that it had for the third time cut back part of its
administrative power to improve work efficiency. All together 42
administrative review items of CSRC were cut this time, including
reviews on appointment of board directors and fund managers in fund
management companies and the acceptance or discharge of members in
exchanges, among others.
But the commission is to enhance supervision and punishment of law-
breakers and ensure protection of investors' interest.
