Article: Isuzu predicts sales, output hikes

Isuzu Motors Ltd, Japan's biggest maker of trucks, said its global sales may rise 11 per cent this year, led by higher demand for its Elf and Giga vehicles in Asia. It will make 9 per cent more vehicles this year to meet demand.

Isuzu, 9 per cent owned by General Motors Corp, said it expects to sell 622,000 vehicles this year, according to its business forecast statement yesterday. Sales in Japan may rise 12 per cent to 99,000 units this year while overseas sales may rise 10 per cent to 523,000 units, Tokyo-based Isuzu said.
