Painting computers
Hanwang Technology Co Ltd, a major Chinese recognition technology
firm, said it had developed the handwriting and painting recognition
pen.
Users will be able to input handwriting and paintings into
computers.
Insurance benefit
New China Life Insurance (NCL), one of China's leading life
insurance companies, announced that its total assets had exceeded 50
billion yuan (US$6.2 billion).
Established in 1996, NCL started up with 770 million yuan (US$95
million) and has maintained fast-paced development over the past nine
years.
NCL's premium climbed 4 per cent in the first half of the year,
hitting 9.3 billion yuan (US$1.1 billion).
