Article: Changsha printing industry to break bottleneck

The capital city of Hunan Province, Changsha, aims to build its printing industry into the city's economic pillar by the end of the 11th Five-Year Plan period (2006-10).

"The fast economic development in Central China in the near future will provide a solid foundation for the city to further develop its printing industry," said Wang Tize, director of the Changsha Municipal Press and Publication Bureau.

At present, Changsha has a total of 620 printing enterprises, with a combined registered capital of 1.23 billion yuan (US$153.7 million) and workshop areas of 930,000 square metres.
