BRITAIN'S top-rated fund managers are increasingly optimistic
about a recovery in company profits and an upturn in UK economic
growth this year, according to a new poll.
The research, carried out by Citywire, the financial publishing
and data group, reveals that 56 per cent of fund managers expect a
rise in corporate profits over the next 12 months. The figure is a
massive increase on the previous month when just 36 per cent
predicted a pick-up in earnings.
The latest survey also shows that leading fund managers are more
bullish about a recovery in the UK stock market, despite the recent
rally which has seen the FTSE100 recover from its low of below 3,300
in March to close at 4,048 on ...
