TIM CARL SELDEN
Army Officer
Tim Carl Selden, 46, a retired Army lieutenant colonel who
served for 21 years as a nurse and administrator, died May 20 at
Bethesda Naval Medical Center. He had AIDS.
A resident of Crownsville, Md., Col. Selden had lived in the
Washington area off and on since the early 1980s.
He retired in 1991 as administrative assistant in the Office of
the Chief Nurse at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He also had
served in Vietnam during the war there and in Germany. Until 1993,
he was research protocol coordinator at the Henry M. Jackson
Foundation AIDS research facility at the Bethesda medical center.
