The swirling winds spoken of by Paul Casey and Luke Donald might
have been the tail of El Nino, the force of nature that is Sergio
Garcia. Spain had wanted to have closed to within a stroke or two of
England by the end of the third round of the World Cup, but five
birdies and two eagles from Garcia in the space of 14 holes gave the
home nation a one-shot lead going into today's concluding foursomes.
Garcia's partner Miguel Angel Jimenez was first into the interview
room after the round and sat in his chair at high table puffing a
large cigar and sipping a cool beer. He referred to Garcia's play as
