THE rejuvenation of National Savings & Investments continues
unabated - it has attracted so much money, it can now afford to give
away two pounds 1m jackpots on the Premium Bonds every month.
Go back to the late 1990s and NS&I - formerly simply known as
National Savings - was struggling to woo customers. Product
innovation was lacking, the interest rates it paid were poor and
people were rushing to jump on the stock market bandwagon.
But a re-brand, a change in commercial strategy and a stock market
crash have all conspired to give the organisation new life. It has
