Article: 'Mickey Mouse Bandit' hits Wells Fargo

SAN MARINO - A man dubbed the "Mickey Mouse Bandit" robbed a Wells Fargo bank Tuesday, getting away with about $12,000, authorities said.

The "one-man takeover" occurred about 3:30 p.m. at the Huntington Drive branch, said Lourdes Arocho, an FBI spokeswoman.

He is being dubbed the "Mickey Mouse Bandit" because in at least one of the alleged robberies, he wore a hat with a Mickey Mouse logo on it, authorities said.

The armed man first stood in line, and then walked up to a teller and demanded money, said San Marino police Lt. Steve Johnson.
