Before they were five, our children spent practically every summer
holiday in Mark Warner mini-clubs. While my husband and I played
tennis and sunbathed, they were looked after by enthusiastic nannies
and handed back at the end of each day, happy and exhausted. It
seemed like paradise until the year we realised we had tired of the
camaraderie and that our children were now old enough to be dragged
on more grown-up holidays - bird-watching, mountain trekking and
heavy duty sightseeing. Little did I know that 10 years on, we would
be back.
Like most 15-year-old girls, our daughter's idea of a perfect
