Article: Bridgepoint ponders pounds 600m Tunstall sale

BRIDGEPOINT, the private equity group, has appointed US heavyweight Goldman Sachs to conduct a strategic review of Tunstall, which could lead to a sale of the business as early as next year.

Analysts say Tunstall, which supplies high-tech sensors to help support the elderly and disabled, is worth pounds 500m- pounds 600m.

It is understood Bridgepoint decided to conduct the review after receiving a number of unsolicited expressions of interest. Among those already thought

to have approached Bridgepoint are Bosch of Germany and Holland's Phillips.
