La Plata senior Ross Hunsberger delivered a hit Friday night that rang out as his plastic shoulder pads made contact with those of a Patuxent player. The senior safety stopped the ball carrier as a gang of tacklers descended on the play.

For all his effort, Hunsberger seemed to have gotten the worst of it. His ankle was trapped beneath a pile of bodies as it crashed to the ground.
