QThe broccoli in my garden is infested with aphids. Will dish
soap work against them? Also, I planted six cauliflower plants in
the spring and not one has produced a head of cauliflower. Is this
because of the lack of rain this summer? I usually water the garden
once or twice a week for two hours each time. Also, my squash plants
produced plenty of leaves and flowers but no fruit.
AAll the crops you mention need full sun to flower and fruit
well. The fact that your squash has not produced fruit makes me
think this might be the problem. Aphids also tend to be more of a
problem on broccoli that is not growing in full sun. In sun, the
plant is less succulent and less attractive to the pest.
