Vanda's stock offering
Vanda Pharmaceuticals Inc., of Rockville, which is developing
drugs to treat disorders of the central nervous system, said it is
selling 3.5 million shares of common stock at an offering price of
$24.33 per share. In documents filed with the Securities and Exchange
Commission, Vanda said it expects to use net proceeds of the offering
for working capital and other general corporate purposes, including
seeking Food and Drug Administration approval to market iloperidone,
a compound for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
