Article: Boomtown Casino plans $200M expansion in Harvey

In one of the largest projects announced for the West Bank since Hurricane Katrina, Boomtown Casino today said it plans to invest $200 million in a major expansion that will include a new gaming boat, 220- room hotel, parking garage, additional retail space, restaurants and concert hall.

The 12-year-old property might also be given a new name and new theme, officials said.

"We're not just building a hotel. We're building a new casino. It's a substantial investment into the West Bank. We are firmly committed to the West Bank," said David Williams, general manager since 1999 of the property owned by Pinnacle Entertainment Inc.
