PHILADELPHIA -- Despite their limitations, the Andy Reid
Philadelphia Eagles seem to know when the stage lights are on, and
what to do about it.
The Tony Dungy Tampa Bay Buccaneers, finally, do not.
Which is why the Eagles are going to the second round of the NFL
playoffs for the second straight year. And why the Dungy Era in Tampa
is apparently over.
The Eagles pounded the Bucs 31-9 Saturday in an NFC Wild Card game
before 65,846 at Veterans Stadium. It wasn't even that close.
It means the Eagles go to Chicago Saturday, for the second-round
game with the 13-3, NFC Central-champion Bears. It means Dungy, and
perhaps a sizable chunk of his team's nucleus, will be working
elsewhere next season.
