For three decades, Joy Warner of Manheim Township has rolled along
in the Turtle League at Leisure Lanes.
Warner's interest in the sport in 1963 when she was a Lampeter-
Strasburg High School senior. Warner and several classmates had a day
off school and decided to spend it at the Strasburg bowling lanes,
and the rest is history.
Background: Warner and her husband, Sid, have four children, two
stepchildren, four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Warner,
55, has worked as a legal assistant for 20 years and was the
executive secretary for the Pennsylvania Court Reporters Association
from 1988 to last year.
She took two years of administrative courses at Penn State's York
