Staff and Wire ReportsElizabethtown's Ben Zink advanced to the
2002 PIAA Class AAA Tennis Tournament singles semifinals with a pair
of wins Friday in State College.
Zink defeated Chris Louis of West Chester Henderson, 6-2, 2-6, 6-
1 in the first round and downed Strath Haven's Ray Josephs, 4-6, 6-
4, 6-2 in the quarterfinals.
Zink, a sophomore and the District Three champ, will meet Brett
Warren of Pine Richland in the semis at 9 this morning. The winner
advances to play the Christian Welte-Kavi Sud winner for the state
Class AAA title later today.
Conestoga Valley's Alex Mast won his first-round match, topping
Cathedral Prep's Devon Peightal, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (6-3), but then fell
to Welte, ...
