Attention local travelers, dreamers, speed freaks and spenders!
If you've got the $7,800, you have three-plus weeks to take a
round-trip ride on the needle-nosed curiosity with wings. As of Nov.
9, the Concorde's Dulles-to-London route is history.
British Airways PLC announced yesterday that it was ending more
than 18 years of service from here to Britain on the stunning
supersonic, which still draws admirers to Washington Dulles
International Airport to watch it take off.
Dulles was first in the United States to offer service on the
Concorde, beginning in May 1976. Later, British Airways added
Concorde service from New York to London.
