Fighting fires is no easy task. That's why firefighters at Liberty Fire Company appreciate the advances in technology that help to make their jobs safer.

New Holland Volunteer Fire Company put its newest state-of-the- art ladder truck into service on Aug. 17.

"Saving lives and protecting property is our top priority. The new ladder truck will help us do our job better and safer," fire chief Larry Martin said.

According to Martin, most people don't realize all the technological benefits the new truck can provide during a firefighting situation.
