Every team wants to end its season on an up note, but the Black
Knights of Hempfield ended on a sky-high note, as they overwhelmed
Manheim Township 53-10 Friday night in Neffsville.
"It was real important for us to finish 7-3 overall," said
Hempfield coach Tom Getz. "After what these kids did to get ready for
the season we really wanted to finish with a win."
While Hempfield finished 4-3 in Section One play, the Blue Streaks
finished 0-7 in the section and 2-8 overall.
The Black Knights were led by junior running back Jack Blair who
was a one-man wrecking crew. Blair ran for an unbelievable 248 yards
on only six carries, and caught one pass for 13 yards. For the night
