Israeli businesswoman Galia Albin was standing in the entrance
hall of the Moroccan Royal Palace, deep in conversation, when her
eyes fixed on a better opportunity across the room. "Excuse me," she
said abruptly. "I have to go meet the minister of commerce of
Jordan."
And then she was gone, darting off through a swirl of
businessmen, diplomats and waiters balancing glasses of mint tea on
silver trays.
The real business of the Middle East and North Africa Economic
Summit, which ended here today, had little to do with speeches or
policy seminars on emerging markets, although there were plenty of
those.
But it had everything to do with networking, as businessmen and
