Tibetan Buddhist monks from Drepung Loseling Institute will
construct a mandala sand painting for world healing at Whitaker
Center for Science and the Arts, 222 Market St., Harrisburg.
The opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the
Kunkel Lobby of Whitaker Center. The Tibetan monks will continue
constructing the sand mandala through Saturday, April 19, and the
symbolic closing ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. The event is
free.
On Sunday, April 20, at 7 p.m. the monks will give a special
performance at Sunoco Performance Theater. Tickets are $22. For
