Can lightning strike twice in the same place?
Andrew Haines hopes it can -- in Lancaster County, at least.
The 24-year-old Lampeter-Strasburg grad will bring minor-league
football back to the area this summer, when his newly formed
Lancaster Lightning kicks off its inaugural season in the North
American Football League.
Lancaster will open its season against the Central Penn Piranha in
Harrisburg's City Island Stadium. The Piranha played almost all its
games in Lancaster County when it formed in 1995, and it attracted a
sizable local following.
But Central Penn made City Island its permanent home three years
ago.
