Cell phones: they're here, there, and everywhere.
They've sneaked into movie theaters, crept into grocery stores,
and slinked into doctors' offices.
But they're causing an ugly invasion in schools.
Plenty of headlines already show the messy mash of education and
cell phones.
Using text messaging, 12 students at the University of Maryland
were recently caught cheating on an exam; a girl in Scotland turned
in a paper written in shorthand phone text, and SAT administrators
have cracked down on even allowing cell phones in the classroom.
