Organizers of a softball marathon hope to score big to benefit
children with disabilities.
The 21st annual Softball Weekend staged for Schreiber Center
begins May 30 at 6 p.m. and runs through June 1 at 6 p.m. The 48-
hour-event is booked at both Lancaster County Central Park and
Stauffer Park.
All types of teams are welcome. Teams of 12 to 16 players, matched
based on ability, can sign up to play for a three-hour time slot.
Teams must provide all personal equipment, including bats, gloves and
hats. The Schreiber Center will provide softballs, umpires (if
available) and the bases. Players must be at least 16-years old, with
the exception of school teams.
Teams must raise a minimum of $200. A ...
