By Sunday evening, the dugouts in Stauffer Park consisted of two
big puddles. The first base line looked like a giant Slip 'n Slide,
and the rest of the infield looked like a venue for mud wrestling.
Players this weekend splish-splashed their way through 48 hours of
softball, and when each game ended, not a single player left the
field wearing the same clean clothes they arrived in.
The conditions may not have been ideal, but the cause was well
worth it.
Sunday marked the final day of the 21st annual Softball Weekend, a
fund-raising event that features 48 hours of continuous softball and
benefits the children who receive services at Schreiber Pediatric
Rehab Center. The event kicked off ...
